GeoDirectory Advanced Search Filters
Advanced search add-on, for what?
GeoDirectory Advanced Search Filters extend GeoDirectory’s default search widget by adding a range of filters such as:
- Search autocomplete
- Geolocation
- Proximity search
- Radio Search
- Filter by any custom field
The possibilities are limitless, and its users will love its advanced search experience.
GeoDirectory Advanced Search Filters enables the Ajax Autocomplete feature for both GeoDirectory search fields: “Search” and “Nearby”.
The “Search” field will search for keywords in the list title, text content, categories, and tags.
While the “Nearby” field will query locations and return results sorted by distance:
Hotels near Chicago? No problem.
Near me
Since we use the Google GeoLocation service API to geolocate the user’s position, you must authorize the application to do so.
If users share their location with the site, they can search using the “Near Me” option. This search will return results within a user-specified radius of the shared location, sorted by proximity.
When using the option near me, the actual number of miles or kilometers will be seen below the list.
Taco is located about a mile from where I am now! Because sometimes it’s urgent…
Custom Field Search
With GeoDirectory Advanced Search Filters, you can also filter search results by any custom fields you’ve added to your listings. If you added modifiers such as:
- pet friendly
- Access Off
- Free Wi-Fi
You can now filter your search to show only those results:
Pet-friendly hotels with handicap access within 10 miles of me? Tidy.
Search for custom publications
Because GeoDirectory Advanced Search Filters also integrates seamlessly with our custom post types plugin, it means you can filter your search by custom fields of any custom post type you’ve added.
