Physical products
If you’re selling physical products or a gateway that doesn’t support refunds, Smart Refunder allows customers to request refunds from My Account and shows you refund requests in WooCommerce. It then processes them manually and completes refund requests. This saves you time as all the required details are available at your fingertips.
Cash or coupon refunds
If you have chosen to provide coupons for rebates and customers want them, a new coupon is emailed instantly.
Typical refund process
- The dissatisfied customer contacts the support team via email/chat/phone
- The customer gives the order/product details and requests a refund
- The store owner examines the request, verifies the order in WooCommerce and the payment
- If the store owner can’t find the transaction, more details are requested from the customer
- In WooCommerce Smart Refunder, once the transaction details are confirmed, the store owner logs in to the PayPal website (or chosen gateway)
- The store owner locates the transaction and issues a refund, then responds to the customer that a refund has been issued
